Whipped Feta Dip

There is something about a chunk of salty feta cheese that just speaks to me. Whether I crumble it on a salad or a sprinkle on a flat bread with some garlic and olive oil, my soul is happy.

After having a version of feta dip at a local Greek restaurant that everyone raves about, I knew that I wasn’t using it to it’s full potential.

Combining it with a few key ingredients and whipping it into a light and creamy spread transforms it in a way I never thought possible and now can’t live without.

I love adding this to my avocado toast, smearing it on a toasted bagel or garlic knots, dunking crispy veggies into it, or topping my baked potato with it.

With so many possibilities and less than 5 minutes to make it, I know you will love this Whipped Feta Dip recipe as much as I do.

Ingredients Needed

Feta – Use a high quality cheese that you find in a block. Be sure to drain it well before adding to the food processor.

Cream Cheese – Soften by bringing close to room temperature. This will help it combine with the feta.

Olive Oil – Use high quality extra virgin olive oil. It will add a nice flavor to the dip.

Rosemary – Fresh herbs are best but if you only have dried, add half the amount and make sure it is chopped fine. You can also use ground rosemary.

Lemon – You will need the zest and juice of 1 large lemon.

Pantry Staples – Garlic, honey.

What is Freaky Friday? It’s a recipe exchange put on by Michaela over at An Affair from the Heart. There are about a dozen people each time that get assigned a fellow foodie website to make a recipe from to share with our readers.

It’s a win-win because we get to make a tried and true recipe from a friend and share it with our readers and you get to hear about another great food website you might not have found!

This time around I got Susan from The Wimpy Vegetarian. Susan is from the San Fransisco area of California (I’m a little jealous).

She gave her husband quite a shock early in their marriage and declared she wanted to change to a plant based diet. I’m not sure I would have the strength as I love a great steak 😉

He resisted and she dug deep into her culinary school training and used some tip and tricks to change up the meals. Her husband liked what he smelled in the kitchen and now loves to go back for seconds:)

Her blog shares amazing recipes that are so delicious you won’t even miss the meat! Some of my favorites are her Spicy Cheese Twists, these Potato Nacho Stacks, and I can’t stop snacking on these Roasted Chickpeas.

Aside from winning cooking competitions, she also teaches cooking classes working with grains, if you are looking to eat more plant-based.
