They taste just like buffalo chicken wings but without all the wings! I guess that’s kind of the point, LOL.
I love the flavors of buffalo sauce which is why I have a bunch of recipes with them. Check out my Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Dip, Buffalo Deviled Eggs, and Buffalo Popcorn.

French fries – This uses frozen french fries but feel free to make homemade fries. Waffle fries work really well too.
Buffalo wing sauce – Homemade buffalo sauce is best or sub Texas Pete or Frank’s Red Hot sauce.
Ranch dressing – Use homemade ranch dressing or store-bought ranch dressing.
Blue cheese crumbles – Substitute blue cheese dressing if needed.
Garnish – Green onions are best.

Serving Suggestions
I could eat these as a main course, especially if you add some shredded rotisserie chicken on them. Just like I do with these Lemon Feta Fries. But if you want to serve some side dishes with them, these are some delicious options.
Dipping Sauces: Ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, honey mustard, sour cream, or even a spicy aioli works well.
Fresh Veggies: Balance out the fries with some fresh veggies such as carrot sticks, celery sticks, or cucumber slices.
Fruit: Another great option is to serve some fresh fruit alongside your fries.
Grapes, apple slices, and strawberries are all great choices that can provide a nice contrast to the spicy and savory flavors of the fries.
Salad: If you’re looking for a more substantial side dish, consider serving a side salad. A simple green salad with a light vinaigrette is best.
Can I use fresh fries instead of frozen?
While frozen fries are recommended for this recipe, you can certainly use fresh fries if you prefer. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time accordingly.
Is there a way to make this recipe less spicy?
If you’re not a fan of spicy food, you can use less buffalo sauce or try a mild or medium wing sauce. You can even dust them with a little fries seasoning and leave off the buffalo sauce.
Can I use a different type of cheese instead of blue cheese?
Bleu cheese crumbles is what I typically serve with hot wings and buffalo sauce but feel free to use your favorite.
Cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, or even pepper jack cheese will work well with these.
How long do they last?
These fries are best served immediately after cooking.
However, if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
Can I reheat them?
Yes, you can reheat buffalo fries in the oven or air fryer to restore their crispiness. But, they will not be as crispy as when you first made them because the sauces seep into the fries.
Avoid reheating them in the microwave, as this can make them soggy.
Can I freeze them?
While it is possible to freeze Buffalo Fries, they will not be crispy any longer. Starting with frozen fries means you can make as much or as little as you like.
So there is not need to freeze them!
