Taco Bell Ranchero Sauce Recipe

This creamy sauce is not only delicious, but the perfect finishing touch to so many dishes! I love it on nachos and sandwich wraps.

Taco bell is one of my fast food go to places when I have a craving for some quick and budget friendly fast food.

My favorite Taco Bell flavors are any nachos Taco Bell makes and the Mexican Pizza. I love the Mexi-melt but they got rid of it 🙁

When I have a serious craving, I will have a Taco Bell night at home. Most of their menu items are easy to make at home.

And you can make this spicy taco sauce to add a zesty punch to your cheesy Gordita Crunch Tacos, or any of your favorite Taco Tuesday dishes.

ingredients for an easy flavor boost

Ingredients Needed

Sour cream – Substitute plain Greek yogurt if desired.

Ranch dressing – Make homemade ranch dressing for best flavor.

Mayonnaise – Duke’s is my favorite mayo to use for this recipe.

Hot sauce – I prefer Tabasco but use your favorite. Franks Red Hot is a great option.

How to Make Taco Bell Creamy Spicy Ranchero Sauce

First: In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream, ranch dressing, mayonnaise, and hot sauce. Mix the ingredients together until smooth and creamy. The color should be a very faint pink.

Second: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the sauce for at least 4 hours, or overnight. This allows the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken up. Transfer the sauce to an airtight jar or container.

How long does it last?

Store the sauce in the refrigerator in an airtight container or up to 2 weeks.

Can I freeze it?

While it’s possible to freeze this sauce, it’s not recommended. The mayonnaise and sour cream in the recipe can both break down and separate when frozen.

This can result in a watery, unappetizing texture. It’s best to store this sauce in the fridge and use it up within 2 weeks.

Can you buy it already prepared?

Yes, you can buy a convenient squeeze bottle of this bold southwest sauce but homemade is always better.
