Ingredients
1
large
Granny Smith apple
2 medium
1
Bartlett Pear
2
Kiwi
peeled
1
tablespoon
lemon juice
2
cups
water
1
tablespoon
Apple Pie Spice
3
whole pita
cut into wedges
olive oil
cinnamon and sugar for dusting
Instructions
Make the Cinnamon Sugar Pita
Preheat the oven to 375F.
Cut the pita in wedges if not done already.
Brush with olive oil.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
Bake at 375F for 5 minutes or until toasted.
Remove from the oven and let cool.
Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
These can be made up to 3 days in advance.
Make the Apple Pie Salsa
Place the water and lemon juice in a large bowl.
Dice the apples, pears, and kiwi into small pieces.
Place the fruit in the lemon water as you are peeling and dicing to keep them from browning.
When done, drain the fruit.
Place the fruit in a bowl.
Add the Apple Pie Spice.
Toss to coat evenly.
If you like it a little sweeter, you can add a tablespoon of sugar.
Serve with the baked pita chips!
