These Big Mac Sliders are a fun recipe for your next party or game day gathering. The whole family will not miss this classic burger when you make this mini slider version!
Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 9x13 baking dish or sheet pan with nonstick spray.
In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the sauce. Mix to combine and set aside.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, onions, salt and pepper until the ground beef is no longer pink and the onions are soft.
Remove from heat and drain.
Place the bottoms of the slider buns in the prepared dish or sheet pan.
Spread a thin layer of the big mac sauce on the bottom buns.
Top with the beef and onion mixture.
Top with cheese slices to cover the beef as evenly as possible.
Place pickle slices on the cheese layer, try to space them so each slider gets pickles.
You can bake them for 8-10 minutes and then remove and add shredded lettuce and sauce. Then top with buns and melted butter and sesame seeds. Bake for an additional 3-4 minutes to warm the complete sliders.
Alternatively, spread the remaining big mac sauce on the underside of the top buns.
Place top buns on the sliders. Melt butter in a small bowl.
Brush the tops of the buns with the butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Remove and enjoy warm.
Notes
If using different slider buns or dinner rolls, you can form individual little burger patties and place on a cookie sheet and bake them. Or cook them individually and add to the buns before baking.
Some prefer the shredded lettuce warm. You can add it with the cheese and pickles and bake it all together if you prefer.
If you like the cold lettuce and sauce, I recommend placing the slider bun tops on a baking sheet and brushing with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 2-3 minutes to get them warm before placing on top of the baked sliders.
Substitute thousand island dressing for the copycat big mac sauce if needed.
Use mini hamburger patties (cooked) and top with some grilled onions instead of making a ground beef mixture.
