Add your chocolate to a jar and place in a crockpot with a few inches of water. Stir occasionally to keep the chocolate smooth.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Dip your pretzel rod into the chocolate and shake to remove the excess.
Place the pretzel rod on the parchment paper and add the decorations. Let set up.
Store in an air tight container for up to 1 week or wrap in festive treat bags and give away as edible gifts.

Set up a decorating station or assembly line ahead of time so you are ready to have fun.
You can line a baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper.
Keep the chocolate melted and soft by keeping the jars of candy coating in a crock pot or slow cooker.
If you want to make specific monsters or ghouls, sketch out how you want them to look. This was you won't be draw a blank when you start decorating.
Gather all your decorations in separate bowls and jars right by you baking sheet so you won't be scrambling once the pretzels are dipped.
Shake off the excess chocolate once you dip the pretzels so when you place them on the parchment paper the chocolate won't "pool" on the bottom.
Draw faces and small marks with edible food markers.
