Couples that drink together, stay together!

Raspberry is not something that I immediately think of when I am thinking of bourbon. But I do think of raspberry when I think of a romantic dinner date. Can you follow me for a second…

The ultimate date night is coming up soon and I have found the perfect way to celebrate with my husband. I call it Raspberry Love!

While telling you about my Roasted Cranberry Bourbon Crush, I mentioned how Brooks and I met a bartender in Kentucky before attending the Derby, that changed my life.

Raspberry Ginger Ale! Mixing raspberry ginger ale with bourbon makes a fabulous new cocktail that gets anybody loving bourbon and wanting it all the time.

The ultimate date night is coming up and I am planning a cheese board for two, some chocolate for dessert, and a cocktail that we can both enjoy.

Bourbon is my husband’s favorite spirit so I am going to make use of that. Remembering that raspberry ginger ale pairs well with the bourbon, I am staying with those flavors.

Instead of a raspberry soda how about a raspberry liqueur? Chambord is the best raspberry liqueur and I know just where to get it. Or really how to get it.

The Raspberry Love Couples Cocktail is the perfect blend of bourbon, Chambord, and a little bubbly added in to cut the richness.

The caramel flavors of the bourbon pairs well with the tart fruit flavor of the Chambord to give you hints of dark chocolate. I was not expecting that when I put it together but now it goes well with dessert too!

Don’t shake the soda!! Shake everything else and top with the soda in the glass. Otherwise you’ll end up with a sticky mess all over your kitchen.

Do these have to be made individually?

No you can make a batch and then pour into individual cups. Last year I made a pitcher and we enjoyed it all night long:)

Served this cocktail on Valentine’s Day to dinner guests. Two had it with Vodka and two had it with Bourbon. While the Vodka Raspberry Love was good, the one made with Bourbon was the definite winner! Just received a call from one of the dinner guests asking for the recipe!
